How this local economic development group is helping businesses respond to coronavirus

Scott Millar has read a lot of the same information about how to deal with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19.
Catawba County has an active manufacturing sector with several international companies, such as Japan-based Cataler. Millar, the president of the Catawba County Economic Development Corp., is trying to provide new, helpful information for companies in his county as they look to navigate an uncertain landscape in the face of a global pandemic.
“What we’re trying to encourage is the business-specific support mechanisms that people may or may not be aware of," Millar said.
