Claremont, NC – DAE Systems is proud to announce that they have been Certified™ by Great Place to Work® for 2021. The prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at DAE Systems. Its first year of applying, DAE Systems had 91% of employees say it’s a great place to work - 32 points higher than the average US company. Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.

“Great Place to Work Certification™ isn’t something that comes easily – it takes ongoing dedication to the employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work. “It’s the only official recognition determined by employees’ real-time reports of their company culture. Earning this designation means that DAE Systems is one of the best companies to work for in the country.”

Achieving Great Place to Work Certification™ was a goal the company hoped to achieve since relocating to Claremont from Santa Ana, California in 2017. “We have dedicated ourselves and have really listened to our employees to create a work environment that not only promotes productivity, but employee relations – engaging them each day to be proud of where they work and the products they produce,” said Dawn Boyles, DAE Systems HR and Administration Manager. “We are ecstatic that we were able to achieve this certification in our first year of submitting an application, and knowing we are one of only four manufacturing companies and the only aerospace company in North Carolina to achieve this honor.”

DAE Systems is a small family-owned aerospace manufacturer, serving both military and commercial customers. The company was founded in 1942 in Los Angeles by Harry Glascock. Harry, an innovative engineer, developed what is believed to be the first fan-forced airborne convection heater for the US Army Air Corps. Currently under the leadership of the third generation, DAE Systems has remained a small family-owned business for all of its nearly 80 years of operation. This has fostered a culture where customers, suppliers and employees are treated as honored members of the extended family.

“Our employees are the foundation of our success as an organization. Without their dedication, we would not be able to succeed in the competitive landscape we operate within. The Management Team at DAE works incredibly hard every day to show our employees how much they are valued, and this certification shows that the employees feel as passionately about us as we do about them,” said DAE President, Jeremy Morrison.
