The Claremont International Rail Park (CIRP) is a 155-acre, publicly owned expansion of the established Claremont International Business Park. Served by Norfolk Southern Railroad (NS), the site offers two manufacturing lots with 2,800 feet of rail frontage. CIRP is 2 miles from I-40 and 50 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and the Charlotte Inland Terminal. All utilities are available, with a substation less than 1 mile away. Park tenants include Prysmian, Pöppelmann Plastics, Smurfit Westock, CertainTeed, Centro Rotational Molders, Southeastern Freight & Williams-Sonoma.
CIRP is one of only 7 Gold sites nationwide designated by REDI Sites, the Site Selectors Guild's consultant-informed program for verifying industrial site readiness. CIRP was also one of 10 inaugural Selectsites chosen by the Economic Development Partnership of NC (EDPNC) and Site Selection Group through North Selectsite Readiness Program (SRP), a state initiative created to prepare industrial properties under 1,000 acres for major advanced manufacturing projects. The program provides priority marketing and state development support while helping communities verify infrastructure and reduce project risks.
